Weekend Bowls Results

Another Saturday of bowls complete with Wynnum being successful across all competitions.

In the Premier 7’s the Division 3 team traveled to Belmont to come away with a well contested 2 rink to 1 win. Both the pairs and fours had wins with the singles unfortunately going down which resulted in an overall score of 69 – 62 in favor of Wynnum. Thank you Belmont for your hospitality.

Division 5 were at home to Enoggera and as usual Wynnum turned on the wind for our guests. We again were able to come away with a 2 rink to 1 win with the pairs falling agonizingly short at the end. Overall Wynnum were able to come away with a strong 72 – 50 win. We hope Enoggera enjoyed their visit to Wynnum.

The Summer Shield team were also at home to Mount Gravatt. While both teams were able to come away with 2 rink wins each the overall score fell in Wynnum’s favor 82 – 72. The overall score was tight the whole game and we thank Mount Gravatt for a great afternoon at Wynnum.

No Club Championship results this weekend on account of a full calendar for the club.

Sunday brings the Wynnum Bowls Club Annual General Meeting which commences at 9:30am. After this there is a social game which will be Wynnum vs Brisbane Transport so please stick around to enjoy the afternoon.
