Weekend Bowls Results

On Sunday we had both Premier 7’s teams at home while the Summer Shield team was away to Belmont.

Division 3 in the 7’s had a 2 rink to 1 win over Manly. Both the pairs and the Fours winning their rinks with the singles having a tight loss. As always it was great to have our neighbors at Manly down to Wynnum for an enjoyable day.

Division 5 also had a 2 rink to 1 win over Jindalee with the singles and pairs both having strong wins. Unfortunately the fours were unable to come away with the win. We hope Jindalee enjoyed their visit to our club.

The Summer Shield team was unable to make it two in a row and went down to Belmont. With it being quite competitive early on, Belmont were able to pull away overall as the game went on. Thank you Belmont for your hospitality.

In the Club Championships the winners of the singles this B. Cathro and P. Gyr. The fours final has been decided with the teams of C. Johnston, P. Lee, R. Muir and R. Sinnamon winning along with E. Micaleff, K. Flynn, M. Polietz and S. Micaleff who will now face each other in the final.

Teams for the following weekend are up and just a reminder we have the Brisbane Transport Team playing Wynnum in a social afternoon Sunday the 17th at 12pm which will include a free lunch. All bowlers are encouraged to stick around after the AGM and put your name down for a game. These days are always great fun with both Men and Woman eligible to play.
