Weekend Bowls Results

The second rounds of the Bayside and Poinciana Challenge were played out this weekend with two of the three teams at home. With a short rain delay all games were able to be played out.

In Bayside, Wynnum “A” were the away team which meant a trip to Belmont. Wynnum came away with the overall points win of 7 – 3 which was broken down into 2 winning rinks, one drawn rink and one unsuccessful rink. The total margin in the end being 85 – 82 with Wynnum coming out on top. Thank you to Belmont for your hospitality.

The Bayside “B” team were at home hosting Capalaba. It was a tightly contested affair with Capalaba coming away with a 6 point to 4 win. This was broken down to a 2 rink all draw with the difference being the overall points which Capalaba won 80 to 78. Thanks to Capalaba for their visit to the club.

In Poinciana Victoria Point were visitors to the club. Wynnum were able to come away with an overall points win of 10 – 0 with 4 of the 4 rinks being successful and the overall margin being 109 to 69. We hope Victoria Point enjoyed their visit to the club.

No club championship games this weekend on account of our inaugural mixed seafood competition being held today. Please keep an eye out for next weeks teams which will be posted tonight.
