Weekend Bowls Results

Another weekend of bowls complete with all 3 teams playing away. Both Premier 7’s teams were able to retain their top of the ladder positions!

The Division 3 team was away to Sunnybank at the Souths Acacia Sports Club. Bringing home a well earned 3 rink to 0 win. Thanks to Sunnybank for their hospitality.

Division 5 traveled out to Wellington Point to come away with with a very competitive 2 rink to 1 win with the singles and pairs games being successful. All 3 games the difference being no more then 5 on each rink made it a great afternoon of bowls. Thanks to Wellington Point for their hospitality.

The Summer Shield visited our neighbors up at Manly. While the overall margin was competitive for most of the game Manly were able to pull away towards the end and ended up with a 119 – 78 overall win and the rink count being 3 rinks to 1 with one of our triples teams being successful. Thanks to Manly for their hospitality.

The Club Championship fours final was played on Sunday with the team of  C. Johnston, P. Lee, R. Muir and R. Sinnamon coming away with a 18-15 win over E. Micaleff, K. Flynn, M. Polietz and S. Micaleff. It was a competitive and entertaining game played in challenging conditions.

Other results in the Club Championships had I. Redford and D. Hawkins both having wins in the singles along with B. Carter and B. Cathro in the pairs.
